Slugger - Sprinter - Thrower (SST)
The OAFA prides itself in holding a hitting, running and throwing challenge for its younger house league players (atom, mite & squirt) in the association. It is called “Slugger, Sprinter, Thrower” or “SST” for short. We also open this event up to other associations in and around the Ottawa area and invite them to get involved to make it a City Wide Challenge. The events that take place in conjunction with the SST are all part of Softball Day at the Park.
The OAFA holds its preliminary round of the SST Challenge during its Photo Days. Here all players on the team get to take part in the hitting, running and throwing events. The 3 participants (male and female) from each team are determined at this time that will go to the SST City Wide Finals. A different player is represented in each of the three events .
Sat June 14, 2008 is the day of the 7th annual City Wide SST Finals during Softball Day at the Park. For more information about the SST Challenge or to register players from your association contact Pam , or click here for a reg'n form for your team/ass'n.
