Gym Programs (2008-09)
The OAFA strives to keep the sport of softball alive in the off season as well. Players that are interested in obtaining new skills or maintaining existing skills can take part in the Indoor Gym Programs. We also encourage students who need community service hours to give back to the sport and to the community by helping out. Contact Pam if you would like to get involved during any of the gym programs.
"Toonie Tuesday" Skills Sessions are open to boys and girls and runs every** other Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30pm at St Peter's Catholic High School. There is a Fall session for girls and boys 8-12; and for girls and boys 13 & over and starts the first Tues in October and runs until the 2nd Tues in December. The Winter Session starts the first Tues in January that school is back and runs until the first Tues in March. To join in on the "Toonie Tuesday" skills session, the cost is just $2.00 per evening. So, come out and bring a friend on any of these Tuesday evenings. ** The 8-12 year old group will start on Oct 7 and the ** 13 and older group will start on Oct 14.
"Drop In" Mon Softball Skills & Fun run every Monday evening from 6:30 to 7:30pm at Forest Valley Elementary School starting in Oct. It will be a Drop In session and the cost will be $2.00 per evening.
Girls and boys that are 8-12 years old can attend the alternate Monday nights in the FALL - Oct 27, Nov 10, Nov 24, Dec 8. NO GYM ON OCT 13. Please contact Pam kpnaylor@sympatico.ca to let her know if you are interested.

Pitching sessions are open to boys and girls 8 years and older. If you are interested in ONLY our pitching sessions these sessions are open to boys and girls and run every Wednesday evening. The Fall Session starts on the first Wed in October and runs until the second Wed in December. The Winter Session starts the first Wed that school is back and runs until the first Wed in March. The pitching sessions are divided into two different times slots. These sessions are held at Divine Infant Catholic School. The “Learn to Pitch” Session is for 8 to 12 year olds from 7:00 - 8:00pm; while players with more experience that are 12 and older come from 8:00 to 9:00pm. The cost is just $25 for all 10 weeks.
Wed pitching sessions have limited space available. Please register early to avoid disappointment. Click here for the registration form.
No advanced registration is required for the “Toonie Tues” scrimmage sessions or Monday Drop In skills sessions; but please fill out a registration form and bring it with you to the gym for insurance purposes.
